Simultaneous interpretation for focus groups allows international clients to follow the discussion in real time, without disrupting the group dynamic. The interpreter works from a separate room or a soundproof booth, while the observers listen to the interpretation through headphones — the participants don't even know the discussion is being interpreted.

How it works

In a focus group, the natural flow of the conversation is everything. That's why we use discreet equipment: ambient microphones in the discussion room, an interpreter behind the mirror or in an adjacent room, and receivers with headphones for the client's team. The interpretation is also captured in the recording, so the final report can be produced directly from the version in the client's language.

For research projects with remote observation, we also stream online simultaneous interpretation — the client can follow the focus group from another city or another country, via Zoom or Webex.
